Their Story

Hi, I'm Melany, my birthday is September 15. I live with my parents and, although I am visually impaired, I really enjoy playing on the phone and watching cartoons. Every day I develop my skills and learn many things. With your help, I can continue to grow and explore the world in an exciting way.

What our Sponsors are Saying

Thanks to the educational center of the Benemérito Comité, my daughter, who has a hearing disability, learned to communicate and now dreams of becoming a teacher. As a mother, I never imagined we’d have access to such specialized and affordable education.
María
Beneficiary
I had cataract surgery at one of the Comité’s hospitals and regained my sight after years of darkness. I thought losing vision was just part of aging, but now I can work, read, and take care of myself again.
Ernesto
Beneficiary
I lost my vision as an adult and didn’t know how to move forward. At the rehabilitation center, I learned how to navigate, use a cane, and communicate. After completing my training, I found a job. Through the Comité, I regained my independence.
Lucía
Beneficiary

Frequently Asked Questions

Selections are based on financial need, family situation, and potential benefit from the program. We work with local organizations to identify the most vulnerable children and adults in the communities where we operate.
Sponsorship is a long-term commitment, ideally until the child completes their education or reaches the age of 18. However, we understand that circumstances can change, and sponsors may adjust or end their sponsorship at any time.
We encourage communication between sponsors and sponsored individuals through letters. We also provide regular updates, photos, and progress reports. For safety reasons, we do not allow direct contact or unsupervised visits when children are involved.
We are proud to maintain low administrative costs. 90% of donations go directly to programs that benefit children and their communities. The remaining 10% is used for operational expenses, fundraising efforts, and ensuring the quality of our programs.
