Thanks to the educational center of the Benemérito Comité, my daughter, who has a hearing disability, learned to communicate and now dreams of becoming a teacher. As a mother, I never imagined we’d have access to such specialized and affordable education.

I had cataract surgery at one of the Comité’s hospitals and regained my sight after years of darkness. I thought losing vision was just part of aging, but now I can work, read, and take care of myself again.

I lost my vision as an adult and didn’t know how to move forward. At the rehabilitation center, I learned how to navigate, use a cane, and communicate. After completing my training, I found a job. Through the Comité, I regained my independence.

Perdí la vista siendo adulta y no sabía cómo seguir adelante. En el centro de rehabilitación aprendí a orientarme, usar el bastón y comunicarme. Luego de terminar mi rehabilitación conseguí un empleo. A través del Comité recuperé mi independencia.
